Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

    Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by a representative who will assist you with the immigration process. After collecting your baggage, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. Take some time to rest and recover from your journey. You can explore the local area, try out some local cuisine, or simply relax at your hotel.

  • Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

    After breakfast at your hotel, embark on a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. You will visit some of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the city, including the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, one of the most significant pilgrimage sites in Nepal. Next, you will visit Boudhanath Stupa, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal and a place of great religious significance. Lastly, you will explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, a historic square with ancient temples and palaces.In the afternoon, you will meet your trekking guide and fellow trekkers. Your guide will provide you with a detailed briefing about the EBC trek, including the route, safety measures, and necessary equipment. You will have time to ask any questions and make final preparations for the trek, such as packing and purchasing any last-minute items you may need. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

  • Day 3: Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (2,610m/8,561ft)

    After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport for a scenic flight to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. The flight offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks, including Mount Everest. Upon landing at Lukla's Tenzing-Hillary Airport, you will meet the rest of the trekking crew and begin your trek. The trail initially descends towards the Dudh Koshi River Valley, passing through small villages and lush forests. Crossing suspension bridges over the river, you will continue trekking until you reach the village of Phakding, situated at an altitude of 2,610 meters (8,561 feet). Overnight stay in Phakding.

  • Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,286ft)

    After breakfast in Phakding, you will resume your trek towards Namche Bazaar, the largest Sherpa town in the Khumbu region. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River, crossing it several times via suspension bridges. You will pass through beautiful pine forests, observing the stunning scenery around you. As you ascend, you will catch glimpses of Mount Everest, Nuptse, and other magnificent peaks. After a challenging climb, you will arrive at Namche Bazaar, located at an altitude of 3,440 meters (11,286 feet). This bustling town serves as the commercial hub of the Everest region, with numerous shops, lodges, and teahouses. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 5: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

    To aid acclimatization, you will spend an extra day in Namche Bazaar. After breakfast, you have the option to take a short hike to Everest View Hotel, located at an elevation of 3,880 meters (12,729 feet). From there, you can enjoy panoramic views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. Upon returning to Namche Bazaar, you can explore the town's vibrant market, where you will find various items, including trekking gear, handicrafts, and local products. You may also visit the Sherpa Museum to learn about the Sherpa culture, mountaineering history, and the local flora and fauna. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 6: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,860m/12,664ft)

    Leaving Namche Bazaar, the trail continues through rhododendron forests with stunning views of the Himalayas. You will descend towards the Dudh Koshi River, crossing it once again before beginning a steep ascent to Tengboche. As you climb, you will catch sight of majestic peaks, including Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Upon reaching Tengboche, situated at an altitude of 3,860 meters (12,664 feet), you will visit the famous Tengboche Monastery, the spiritual center of the Khumbu region.   • Day 7: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410m/14,468ft)

    Continuing your trek, you will descend through forests and cross the Imja Khola (river). After crossing a suspension bridge, you will ascend to the village of Pangboche, known for its ancient monastery. You can take a moment to explore the monastery and learn about its cultural and religious significance. From Pangboche, the trail leads to Dingboche, a picturesque village situated at an altitude of 4,410 meters (14,468 feet). As you approach Dingboche, you will be greeted with stunning views of Ama Dablam, one of the most beautiful mountains in the region. Overnight stay in Dingboche.

  • Day 8: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche

    To adjust to the high altitude, you will spend an extra day in Dingboche. It is essential to acclimatize properly to prevent altitude sickness. You can use this day to take a short hike to Nagarjun Hill, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, including Lhotse, Island Peak, and Makalu. In Dingboche, you can also attend an informative session on high-altitude trekking and learn about the symptoms of altitude sickness, prevention measures, and proper acclimatization techniques. Rest and relaxation are also crucial during this day to allow your body to adapt to the altitude. Overnight stay in Dingboche.

  • Day 9: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,910m/16,109ft)

    Continuing your journey, you will trek along the moraines of the Khumbu Glacier. The trail gradually ascends, offering magnificent views of towering peaks and glacial landscapes. Along the way, you will pass through Dughla, where you can take a moment to pay your respects at the memorial site dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on Everest. Afterward, you will continue climbing until you reach Lobuche, a small settlement at an altitude of 4,910 meters (16,109 feet). Here, you will be rewarded with awe-inspiring views of Nuptse, Pumori, and other surrounding peaks. Overnight stay in Lobuche.

  • Day 10: Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,598ft) and Gorak Shep (5,170m/16,961ft)

    Today is a challenging yet rewarding day as you trek to Everest Base Camp. The trail winds through the rocky terrain, following the Khumbu Glacier. You will pass through the infamous Khumbu Icefall and witness the base camp, which serves as a temporary home for climbers during the Everest climbing season. Enjoy the awe-inspiring views of the surrounding peaks, including the Khumbu Icefall, Nuptse, and Everest itself. After spending some time at Everest Base Camp, you will trek back to Gorak Shep, the last settlement before EBC. Overnight stay in Gorak Shep. Note: Due to the unpredictable weather conditions and trekking pace, some itineraries may have slight variations. It's important to stay flexible and follow the guidance of your trekking guide.

  • Day 11: Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) and Trek to Pheriche (4,240m/13,910ft)

    Early in the morning, you will embark on a hike to Kala Patthar, a famous vantage point known for its panoramic views of Mount Everest, the surrounding peaks, and the Khumbu Glacier. After capturing the breathtaking sunrise view from Kala Patthar, you will trek back to Gorak Shep for breakfast. From there, you will descend to Pheriche, passing through Lobuche along the way.   • Day 12: Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,286ft)

    Leaving Pheriche, you will retrace your steps back to Namche Bazaar. The trail offers a combination of descending and ascending sections as you pass through Tengboche and beautiful rhododendron forests. You will have the opportunity to soak in the stunning views and reflect on your incredible journey. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 13: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft)

    Today marks the final leg of your trek as you descend from Namche Bazaar to Lukla. Enjoy the pleasant downhill trail, cross suspension bridges, and pass through various Sherpa villages. Upon reaching Lukla, you can relax, celebrate the completion of your trek, and bid farewell to the mountains. Overnight stay in Lukla.

  • Day 14: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu

    In the morning, you will take a scenic flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu, enjoying the last glimpses of the mighty Himalayas. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day at your leisure, exploring the city, shopping for souvenirs, or simply relaxing.   • Day 15: Departure from Kathmandu

    Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time in Kathmandu to do any last-minute shopping or visit additional sights.
