Chisapani sits at 2,165m on the northern edge of the valley, just outside the national park boundary, and is the first overnight stop on the classic Helambu trek. Done as a day hike it makes a long but rewarding outing.
The route starts at Sundarijal, climbs beside the waterfall and reservoir into Shivapuri National Park, and crosses the forested ridge before descending to the settlement.
