Home of various species of birds and wild animals, Khaptad Trek lets you explore different ecosystems from the cumulation of subtropical and temperate climate. Famous for its green pasture land, Khaptad is a must place to visit for sight-seeing and landscape gazing. Situated in the far western region of Nepal and 446 km air distance from Kathmandu, Khaptad is visited by less number of tourists because of the remote area.

It is estimated that about 567 species, 11 % of flowering plants of Nepal, are found in Khaptad.

The park also offers excellent bird-watching experience, with over 270 species of birds. Different varieties of  Impheyan pheasant, partridges, flycatchers, bulbuls, cuckoos, and eagles are commonly found. Barking Deer, Wild Dog, Wild Boar, Ghoral, Himalayan Black Bear, Yellow-throated Marten, Rhesus monkey and Langur monkey are the commonly found animals.

Khaptad National Park is the destined place to visit at the trip to Khaptad. Packing lunch would be a plus point as the places have a low t0 none number of shops. Bird-Watching and Landscape gazing through the trek will be a lifetime experience.
