The most loved adventurous activity by the people of Nepal is Paragliding. Since the activity provides exhilarating experience it is famous among all the people visiting Pokhara.
Paragliding is a recreational and competitive adventure sports. The pilot sits in a harness suspended below a fabric wing. Wing shape is maintained by the suspension lines, the pressure of air entering vents in the front of the wing, and the aerodynamic forces of the air flowing over the outside.
Despite not having an engine, paragliding can last many hours covering hundreds of kilometers. The main area of flying in Nepal is the Annapurna Region, specifically the Pokhara Valley. Paragliding is operated in Sarangkot Hill (1500m) where an experienced person can paraglide on their own with 2 days of instruction or can take tandem flights for those who cannot bear through the 2 days of instructions.
30 to 45 minutes of flight takes one to the Himalayan heaven allowing the panoramic view of landscape and Himalayas like Mt. Fishtail (Machhapuchhre), Lamjung Himal, Annapaurna Himal, Himchuli etc with a great photographic opportunity.
